The number one rule of marketing is: REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT. Don’t shy away from your content being repurposed. You really need to drive home your point to make an impact.
LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO “REPURPOSING CONTENT:
Repurposing content is a GAME-CHANGER. Not only will this method save you time, but it will also boost the visibility of your products and offerings. Because you’ll have more content to post overall, you’ll be able to tackle multiple platforms at once.
THE BENEFITS OF REPURPOSING YOUR CONTENT:
The perks of repurposing your content are well worth the time investment. When you repurpose content, you’re able to: create multiple pieces of content for the same platform; post the same content on several platforms; and reformat the same content to share on various platforms for different purposes.
LET’S REVISIT CONTENT BATCHING:
Let’s back up and discuss content batching. When we’re curating content for our business, we want to establish specific “content themes” (these are also referred to as “buckets” or “pillars”). For example, GGC’s content themes include product photos, small business education, partnerships, politics, events, and launches. Once you determine your themes, you can dedicate certain days of the week to them. Content creation done in one sitting is “content batching.” Once you create several pieces of content, you can schedule it out in the planning app of your choice. This system cuts through the stress of posting manually each day and allows you to make a bigger impact overall.
LET’S DIG INTO REPURPOSING WITH AN EXAMPLE:
Let’s say your topic is email marketing. Pick an angle, such as “3 Tips for Growing an Email List.” This angle can be turned into a blog post, IG carousel, newsletter, Reel/TikTok, and podcast episode. Then, take an adjacent topic and follow the same exact process. Be sure to spread out the content over a span of time to maximize engagement.
THE NUMBER ONE RULE OF MARKETING:
Repeat, repeat, repeat! The worst thing you can do when it comes to marketing is playing it coy and shy. You need to drive home your point to make an impact, and repurposing your content allows you to do that with greater flexibility and ease.
