If you’re a long-time fan of Girl Gang Craft, you know our roots are in the Bay Area and we have always been champions of West Coast makers. Since our Founder moved across the country to Salem, MA, however, we’ve been expanding our presence and are so grateful to directly support the maker community in the greater Boston area!


Without further ado: Here are eight upcoming Boston area craft fairs to attend or apply to as a maker this spring and summer.

1. Girl Gang Craft


Ever heard of us? Girl Gang Craft is the ultimate craft fair for women, non-binary, and trans makers, artists, and healers. We offer a rad feminist merch line and strive to provide brand education so our community of creatives can take their work to the next level, both in-person and online. At GGC, we’re always looking for high-quality products, professional photographs, authentic and cohesive branding, and missions aligned with our personal values.

2. New England Open Markets


New England Open Markets serves over 1200 small businesses (from all over New England and beyond) yearly, providing them with a venue for their talents and wares. Their upcoming Boston Open Market is a vibrant open-air arts market featuring talented local artists, crafters, independent designers, and vintage dealers.

3. Boston Women’s Market


Boston Women's Market promotes the work of and preserves a space for women entrepreneurs and artists in the New England area. They host marketplaces throughout the Boston area and provide tools and resources to help women-owned businesses succeed.

4. Salem Arts Festival


This free and popular family-friendly event features a variety of art, music, dance, and theater performances throughout downtown Salem, presented in collaboration by Salem Main Streets and Creative Collective.

5. SoWa Open Market


The SoWa Open Market is Boston's largest celebration of local art and food. Every Sunday, over 60 makers and thousands of visitors come together in SoWa amid a vibrant backdrop of artist studios, galleries, boutiques and vintage shops.

7. An Unlikely Story Spring Craft Fair


An Unlikely Story (an in



dependent bookstore and café in Plainville, MA) is hosting two spring craft fairs on Sunday, May 1st and Saturday, May 7th from 11am-4pm (both days) on the Second Story above the bookstore. A variety of vendors will be there selling handmade gifts and goods.
